Caitriona invited her Irish family to celebrate her wedding to Mattias in Stockholm. They had rented a very stylish house in Stockholm where they could get ready and where many guests could stay. Caitriona’s mom made the beautiful bouquets and boutonniere for the guys in the garage and explained the names and meanings of the flowers she used to the guests. I love personal touches like that. Lucky Caitriona has a mom with the talent and the skills needed.

Their first look was at a beautiful green space right behind the house and following an emotional first look, a fun mix of friends and family made their way to  Katarina kyrka in Södermalm, Stockholm.

Afterwards everybody walked down to the pier by Fotografiska Museet and boarded the boat to take them to Moderna Museet where the reception was held. But first they took their guests on a tour though Stockholms harbour while guests sipped on a glass of Champagne that a family member had handpicked in France and brought to Stockholm.

I must say that Irish people are a lovely bunch. This family was so welcoming and just plain lovely to me. They insisted that I tried the special Champagne and offered me a lovely dinner. At least I guess that is what they said, because Irish English is not always 100 % clear to me…(kidding). Thank you for letting me document your special day.

Grattis, Caitriona and Mattias.
